Ranked
Choose 1v1 or four-player play. Neither queue uses bots at the start; each has its own rating and recorded results.
Casual matchmaking
Leave bot fill on to let clearly labeled AI take empty seats after the configured wait. Turn it off to wait for people who made the same choice.
Custom rooms
Choose more table sizes, use private access, set spectator controls, load eligible board codes, and adjust Friendly Robber where the format allows it. Creating a private room is a Premium host feature.
AI practice
Play a complete unrated game with labeled AI opponents. Practice results do not change either ranked rating.
Rules that are not ready stay unavailable
Hexed does not list an expansion as playable until its complete rules work in the game, replay, and supporting systems.
Choosing a mode
Which modes affect my rating?
Only eligible ranked games affect a ranked record. 1v1 and four-player ratings remain separate.
Can I avoid bot fill?
Yes. Ranked matchmaking starts without bots, and casual matchmaking lets you choose whether to allow labeled bot fill.
What is Friendly Robber?
It prevents the robber from blocking a player with two or fewer visible victory points. It is standard in Hexed 1v1 and available as a custom-room setting.
Pick the format before the queue
Start with the player count and rating policy you want. Hexed shows the AI and room rules with the mode.
