Custom rooms
Play Hexed online with friends
A Premium host can create a private room for two, three, or four players, choose the supported settings, and invite the group. Everyone sees the rules, seats, timer, and viewing policy before the game starts.

Set the table before anyone sits down
Choose the player count, base rules or Friendly Robber preset, timer, board setup, and spectator access. Expansion settings remain unavailable until their complete rules are implemented.
The host pays for the room, not every seat
Premium is checked when the host creates a private room. Invited players do not each need a Premium subscription to take a seat.
Decide whether friends can watch
A private, unrated host can turn ordinary spectating off. When watching is enabled, spectators still receive a redacted view. Approved observers use a separate, announced permission.
Give a disconnected player time to return
The reconnect window keeps the seat open. In a casual game, a temporary bot takeover can be handed back when the player returns, helping a long table survive an ordinary connection drop.
Private-room questions
Does every player need Premium?
No. Premium is required to create the private room, not for every invited seat.
Which rules can we use now?
The base game and Friendly Robber preset are available. Incomplete expansion rules remain disabled.
Can we use a specific board?
Unrated base-game rooms can load a shared Hexed board code. Rated rooms and unsupported rulesets use their required setup.
Set up the room, then send the invite
Choose the seats and rules first. Everyone can check the table before the opening placement.
